Oh look, another D20

As it turns out working all day and then coming home to play video games is much easier than coming home and designing logos. It also turns out that my artistic side that I used to endear so much has become much of an afterthought lately. Needless to say it kinda disappoints me to have to ask others to design a logo for me, but hey why not? Because time is sparse and 20 sided dice are a little overdone, I want to see how creative you all are!

Your efforts will not go unrewarded however so here’s the details, you design me a logo for dreadgazebo.net (specifications below) and submit it to thegazebo@dreadgazebo.net by Sunday October 31st at Midnight. If your design is the chosen one I’ll be sending you a brand new box of Lords of Madness D&D Minis, a dice bag complete with a 7pc set of polyhedral dice (selected at random) and one other random piece of swag.

The logo will be used on the current (and future) dreadgazebo.net and possibly as my twitter avatar as well, you will be given credit in the about section and/or footer of the site in addition to my blathering on about how awesome you are also.

The only stipulations I have for the logo are that I’d obviously really like for it to include a gazebo, perhaps even an anthropomorphized dreadful looking one with teeth or a mean eyes, but not necessarily. Maybe something iconic of D&D inside or behind it – first thing coming to mind beholder with tentacles sprawling out? Even a 20 sided die? Honestly though if it’s good and doesn’t contains any of these elements (including the gazebo) I could care less about the design stipulations. In the event of my ultimate indecisiveness kicking in and there being a tie, I will reward both of the winners equally as promised. So let’s see what you can come up with shall we!?

Eligibility: Continental US & Canadian residents only (for receiving contest winnings). If you wish to submit an entry knowing that I cannot ship winnings to your country then please be my guest, you will still receive recognition for your work. I reserve the right to not pick a winner should I choose, and also to end the contest early at any point in time without obligations or reason.

Update: Please submit work in .PSD format (or whatever native file format that contains your layers & masks), also if you’d like to just send a .PNG/.JPG as a preview image and only submit your original upon winning that’s fine also. I am mostly looking for a square shape as opposed to a banner but once again, anything may do the job, just enter your designs! Also you may submit multiple entries.
