Okay, after a month and a total of about 15 submissions I’ve finally decided on a winner on the logo contest! There were a lot of great entries and I know it ‘s cliche to say it was a hard decision to make but it really was. I honestly wanted to use quite a few of them but ultimately one stood out the most, tt achieved the clean, bold, defined look that was floating somewhere in the back of my mind.
I think it lands perfectly between ‘shiny’ and ‘scary’ and couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. Sersa V from the Save Versus Death blog claims the prize of a box o’ Lords of Madness minis and some dice will be on his way shortly! I know I’ve said this before but I highly suggest you go check out his blog for a healthy dose of 4thcore madness.
Some honorable mentions must go out to Carl Bussler of the Flagons & Dragons Podcast (who’s also having a contest I might add), @radlilim (Jason Kivela) and one from the Roving Band of Misfits for their awesome logo submissions.
Over halloween weekend I spent entirely too much time trick or treating with my kids, three days in a row to be exact but I still managed to get some good gaming in. On friday I ran my own little “4thcore” encounter with a small group and it was a huge hit, the dungeon invoked paranoia at every corner and I was commended on stepping away from my carebear DM approach.
On Halloween I played some Gamma World and it was awesome, @momanatrix has a blog post over at ChaosBolt.net summing up her experience with the game, I suggest you take a look at it if you’d like a sampling of Gamma Terra from a first person perspective (or you just feel like making a lady smile). By the way, the rest of the L4D zombies and more D5C is in the works as we speak so check back soon for those.
Also, if you’d like to know what’s inside the Gamma World box then I’ve got just the video for you! Please excuse the semi shaky cam, my camera woman was at work for the day so I had to wing it. Till next time! 🙂
Very cool logo. Congrats to the Winner!
